About V. Woods and My Salon Scoop, LLC
the chair as a loyal client and recommending 100s of salons across the country to her friends. She decided to turn this passion into a business when her favorite salon owner became forced to go out of business due to a lack of business savvy. An MBA graduate of The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, Woods leverated her 6-figure education and decade of corporate experience working in business planning with multi-million dollar budgets on a quest to help raise the business game for salon owners. With the vision of providing a resource for women looking for quality hair salons, she founded the website, MySalonScoop.com, and became known as the Ultimate Beauty Matchmaker. The website began to attract the attention of brands such as L’Oreal Professional and Shea Moisture through her development of marketing campaigns to target African-American womenWoods saw that while the website was a beginning, salon and spa owners wanted more from her. She researched the marketing practices of the top hair salons in the country, and the connection between an investment in an efficient marketing system and success became clear. With her Fortune 500 experience helping small and medium-sized businesses in sales and marketing, Woods has in-depth experience with developing prospecting and customer retention programs.
Then, Woods created her own fresh, innovative system. She developed the Book Your C.H.A.I.R. Solid (BYCS) System to help beauty professionals build a marketing plan centered on their loyal clients.
Now, she offers the BYCS System through teleseminars, live workshops, and personal coaching. She also creates customized offerings to suit the needs of ambitious spa and salon owners around the country. She is currently working on a book, The A-List Salon: Insider Secrets of Profitable Salons That Wow Their Clients Every Day.
What began by creating a simple web resource for frustrated women in search of a stylist has now morphed into a multi-faceted consulting business. V.
